Holly Lewis

Senior Ecologist

It’s not only a relaxed and friendly place to work, it’s also a great place to push yourself professionally.

What do you do all day?

I carry out ecological impact assessments, protected species surveys, and habitat mapping. I also undertake day-to-day project and team management.

What do you like best about your role?

I like the variety that comes with my job. I’m constantly working on different projects and doing different and often challenging tasks.

What qualities do you need to do your job well?

It’s essential to be able to work well under pressure during the ecological survey season. Ecologists also need to be hardworking and really well organised.

Have you developed personally or professionally since you joined the organisation?

I initially joined as a Placement Year student from Cardiff University. Since starting full-time, I’ve gained a much greater understanding of the profession and with that comes a growing confidence in my own ability.

Outside of work, what do you get up to?

I really enjoy travelling and like to visit as many countries as I can. I’m also really into keeping fit and reading.
